2026 Series Walks - WE NEED YOUR HELP - BOTH -  SUNDAY'S & WEDNESDAY'S

You'll now see that we're preparing for all 2026 walks and we really need people to help, to add new interesting walks and support local pubs. So, if you're interested in us using one of your own walks, or simply putting your name in the hat to help organise one, then please talk to one of the committee, and it will certainly be appreciated, and first timers will be fully supported by one of us. Alternatively, for more details, please contact our walk co-ordinator Steve Sloan using the contact details on the committee page of this website.

2025 into 2026 Series Walks

SUNDAYS:

The last walk of 2025 from Old Grammarians, Wellingborough organised by Graham Baker, took us out to Irchester Country Park and many points of interest unknown by many -  Waendel Walkers Club | Facebook

So, into 2026 and the first series walk will be 4th January, from The Hill, Wollaston, our regular starting venue with many different routes. A lovely stone built and thatched building set back from the road with a lovely front lawn. The uneven stone flagged flooring goes with the stone interior walls both in the lounge and bar areas.

As usual, two routes will be available: circa 10km and 20km.

Remember, for all normal Sunday events: As usual the desk will open around 09.30 so please do not arrive before then as the location may well have had a late Saturday and neither the venue nor the walk leader will be ready for you. We regret we continue to have to make this request but we have had a couple of complaints from our venues and we really do not wish to alienate them and thereby discourage them from hosting our events.

WEDNESDAYS

The next walk will be on 15th April and organised by Steve Sloan, so watch this space for the location, etc.

2025 Awards:

Club Achievement Award: presented to Ron and Christine Barry for many years of participation in club walks and coach trips, often travelling long distances to participate.
